Description

PowerEdge MX740c Blade Server Nigeria

The PowerEdge MX740c Nigeria Compute Sled is a high-performance, flexible server designed to meet the diverse needs of modern data centers. Optimized for virtualization, software-defined storage, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), and big data applications, this two-socket, single-width sled provides the power and scalability necessary for demanding workloads. Equipped with up to two 28-core 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, it offers a blend of performance and energy efficiency. Memory configurations include 1.5TB (RDIMM) or 3TB (LRDIMM) across 24 DDR4 DIMM slots, ensuring the capacity to handle large-scale operations.

The server’s storage flexibility is a key highlight, offering up to six 2.5-inch SAS/SATA (HDD/SSD) or NVMe PCIe SSDs, delivering high-speed, direct-attached storage. For enhanced performance, it also supports Intel® Optane™ DC persistent memory (PMem), providing up to 6.1TB, with a total of 7.68TB per server. Additional options like M.2 Boot Optimized Storage Solution (BOSS) or an Internal Dual microSD Module (IDSDM) streamline operating system and data storage management, giving users a range of choices to meet specific requirements.

The PowerEdge MX740c Nigeria integrates with Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) 9, enabling agent-free systems management. The Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise – Modular Edition (OME-Modular) simplifies in-system management and improves operational efficiency by offering a unified web/RESTful API interface. System management performance is significantly improved, with iDRAC9 providing up to four times faster processing than the previous generation. With these capabilities, administrators can easily manage compute, storage, and networking elements, optimizing the entire PowerEdge MX ecosystem.

Security is a top priority, with the PowerEdge MX740c Nigeria’s Cyber-Resilient Architecture providing multiple layers of protection. Signed firmware updates with SHA-256 hashing and RSA encryption secure critical components, while System Lockdown prevents unauthorized configuration or firmware changes. For ultimate data protection, the system erase function allows for secure and rapid removal of data from local storage and embedded flash devices, ensuring that sensitive information is fully erased when needed.

Designed for efficiency and scalability, the PowerEdge MX740c Nigeria is ideal for organizations looking to handle large IT workloads with ease. Its dual-socket compute capabilities, robust security features, and flexible storage options make it a perfect fit for evolving data center environments, providing a future-proof solution to meet today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
